CUSTOM BOTTLE,INC
NAUGATUCK, CT-December 7, 2004-Custom
Bottle, Inc. a manufacturer and distributor of plastic packaging
products announced that Barry S. Lerman, CEO of Custom Bottle,
Inc. has led a transaction to purchase the company from Robert
Lerman, Founder and Chairman of the company. He is joined by Rick
Allen, the company's Chief Operating Officer, as a new partner.
In addition, a select group of senior managers will be participating
in the transaction. Mr. Lerman, the company's President and newly
appointed CEO and Mr. Allen have been in charge of the company
operations for the past several years. For the past 4 years Robert
Lerman has focused his efforts exclusively on ebottles.com, and
he will continue with ownership of that company.
Webster Bank organized and completed
the financing. The purchase price was not disclosed.
In remarks during an announcement
of the transition to employees, Barry Lerman expressed his appreciation
to Robert Lerman, his partner "Through tremendous vision and effort,
Rob founded and provided the leadership of this company for many
years. I am grateful for his partnership and friendship over the
years and wish him well with ebottles.com" He further added "At
the same time, we are excited about the expanded group of stakeholders-the
key people who drive our business every day".
Custom Bottle, Inc. recently celebrated
its 25th anniversary in the packaging industry. Evolving from
a small broker to a full-service packaging provider through the
Custom Bottle manufacturing division, a leading distribution company-Lerman
Container, and ebottles.com-an internet vehicle marketing bottles
and related packaging products to home and small business users.
With Headquarters and plant operations
in Naugatuck, CT, Custom Bottle Manufacturing is an extrusion
blow-molder of plastic bottles sold primarily to several industry
segments such as personal care, chemical, food, among others.
The Lerman Container Division is a distributor of plastic bottles
and related packaging products sold to similar industries as the
manufacturing operations.
